Reflection from Single Women's Conference

On Saturday, July 16, 2011, Minister in Training Kimberly Credit hosted a Single Women's Conference titled, The Comfort of THE MAN!

Although I am a married woman now, as I listened to each speaker, I couldn't help but to reflect on my own experience as a single woman and if I was fortunate to have heard what these three dynamic women said, I would have avoided a few dead end streets but praise God all things work together for good for them that love God and are called according to his purpose--including my past he uses and now gets the glory.

**Min Credit's portion will be added at a later date due to copyright issues ok.  I want to do her piece justice and to the glory of God therefore "her-share" will be added later.**

Point of the story though is that although we who have been pulled out of the fire are alive to tell our stories, it is paramount that you my beautiful single ladies understand is that you don't have to learn by necessarily experiencing difficult situations in your lives first hand but it is in fact beneficial to learn from the mistakes of others.  You don't have to learn the hard way.

And as the poised Kyra Braxton said it on Saturday, "Share with what you are given....being stingy is plain evil!"

Prayerfully by sharing what I have learned, you will think twice or maybe three times before dipping and diving in situations that continue to lead you in ditches, despair, and hopelessness.  Prayerfully, instead of running into the arms of the familiar that leaves you comfortless, desperate and empty, you will find comfort, love and hunger filled in the arms of The Man--the Heavenly Father through the blood of Jesus Christ.

EVANGELIST ZIPPORAH
God the Father loves you. In the Midnight hour, he loves you.  When you are alone, when you don't reach out to him--he loves you. He deeply loves you.  God loves you especially different and like cookies love milk and french fries love ketchup. God will turn your mess into the message.
Nobody got swagger like Jesus!

All things are lawful but do not edify you! (1 Corinthians 10:23)
Back to the way the Lord made us. (Genesis 2:21-24)  Beyonce had it right when she said "If you like it then you should have put a ring on it," but she made a wrong turn with "Girls run the world."  Women in the Body of Christ need to get in order.  Stop with putting your will in the way of God's!
"God has a will for our lives and until we get in line with his will, we hinder the process!"

Last but not least,  we don't belong to ourselves; and He loves you--its incomprehensible how much Jesus Christ loves you!

KYRA BRAXTON

"Getting Hold of God"  "Get Hungry"
John 6:22-34

Focusing on verse 34
Something in you is calling for a rescue--hungry.
Hunger takes you to a place and to another level.  When people get hungry, you cannot control them anymore.  It gets dangerous.

Spiritual Hunger
1.  Remember that when you are hungry, you will get filled.  Also pay attention to your appetite, to your taste because appetite matters.  Referencing 1 Cor 10:23  What you are hungering for, make sure it brings you nourishment and edifies.  Somethings that were good for your father, mother or
grandmother may not nourish you.
2.  Changing your diet will ultimately change your lifestyle.  Changing our spiritual pursuit does not necessarily agree with everyone in our circle.  Our new lifestyle will cause you to take RISKS.
DESPERATION: stir it up--push yourselves out there, that's when we catapult and start a new level with our walk with God.
Always remember, being hungry may offend some folks but there are rewards--being filled with living water!  Share with others what you are given because being stingy is plain evil!

EVANGELIST KAREN MCCALL
Psalm 139:13-15 NKJV & NLT

"Who you are!"
Whatever our issues are, we have to trace it from the beginning.  Who we are is who God says we are!
(I had to remember what lead me to this issue of rejection, which lead to discontentment, etc.)  Evan McCall made me go back to my issue.

It all begins with confession of things with my heavenly Father. Secrets will kill you!  Whether they be issues with your family etc, you must deal with them and not sweep them under the rug.

We must confront the matters of the heart and stop living lies!
(I was reminded that I must expose the evil for what it is.  Don't keep my mouth clothed.)

We are challenged to expose those dark things in our lives to the light of Christ if we want to be free from bondage because if not, the enemy will mess with your mind.

Again, learn to deal with your issues in order to be set free!
If you know who you are, who are you?

I hope these gold nuggets will bless you in some way, shape, form or fashion as we were on the day of the conference.  And remember, before establishing a relationship with a man, begin establishing a relationship with "the Man," who knew you before you were in your mother's womb.  Be real with Him about your issues of the heart so that He may restore you so if it is in the Lord's will for you to be married, you will enter into a covenant that is healthy and built on a right foundation--THE ROCK--Jesus Christ!
