It represents my culture

But it does not encompass the story completely

Way far beyond the naked eyes can see

There is only one who can truly see my inner that enhances my outer beauty

He is God

A very important part of me

He painted my skin

In many shades of browns

Espresso, coffee and tea

When He had me in mind

He did not wear a frown

There is only one who appreciates my inner workings

He is God

A very special part of me

At times I may not understand

What lies ahead of me

But there is only one Captain of my ship

The one and only true living God who holds the key to my destiny

There is only one who can see my inner beauty

Yes my God is a very important part of me

Although they may judge you

Making every attempt to prove the statistics are right

No matter how much effort you put forth

Remember when you follow Jesus your future will always look bright

There is only one who can see your inner beauty

And His opinion of you is always trust worthy

He is God

And everything He created is good

Regardless of what society's views are about you

Say to yourself, "The only opinion that matters to me

Knowing He would never do anything that would ever harm me

Yes,He is a very special part of me

There is only one who can see

See my inner beauty

In Him I will always trust not the lies of the enemy

My black is beauty

My black is intentional

The Creator in his handiwork 

Yes ma'am, I'm an original!

My black is beauty

Thank you LORD for creating such a masterpiece in me

My Master made no mistakes when He created me

He is God

And He is such a very special and important part of me

Father God thank you for loving me!
