Last night during Maundy Thursday service i couldn't help but to think about how as my pastor so eloquently proclaimed, "let this cup," allow this cup to pass from me Father because He couldn't bare to be separated from him. Jesus became sin for us, enduring the punishment that we so rightfully deserve and if Jesus couldn't stand to be separated from the Father because he then became sin for God does not dwell in any unclean place, then my God have mercy on them that know not God.
There is mercy on this side of the grave along with grace but judgement and condemnation--hell for them that reject Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. I don't think, no--i know i would not be able to live out eternity separated from AlmightyGod. For them that know not God, the one true living God--tomorrow is not promised but when God extends to you the opportunity to experience another day, take it as an invitation to accept His love and Lordship but as you intentionally reject his love at the same time, you are willingly accepting condemnation.
May you humble yourself and have a heart to receive the truth of God's Word.
'If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved," Romans 10:9."
"Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends," Rev. 3:20.
Jesus is knocking on the door of your heart by way of this message. Will you let Him in? My prayer is that you will. Once you have said yes, go and be apart of a bible believing body of Christ and begin your new life as a Christian/child of God.
Lastly, for those that say within their hearts, "I love God and that's enough." Well, Jesus said, "If anyone loves me, they will obey my teachings. My Father will love him or her and we will come to him or her and make our home with them," John 14:23.
To God be the glory forever and ever.....Amen!
